Of course, she did study English, but, you know, it's quite a typical story - village schools and foreign languages don't mix. My sister said we had something like St. Patrick's Day: everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day - and everyone's translator on Translation Day (because they had to translate everything to Nastya and sometimes to each other).
The funniest thing is that my pronunciation problems (which I surely have, since I haven't spoken English for three years) practically disapeared after drinking wine o_O
P.S. We've got a new meme. It turned out that Andrey didn't know the word "hedgehog" and that it sounded like "Hitchcock" to him XD
